Driving Theory Practice — Android app (package com.pixel.uaedrivingtheory) and website drivingtheoryuae.com · effective 11 October 2026

Driving Theory Practice (“the app” and “the website”) is published by Abdul Hakeem Mehmood Hussain (“we”). This policy explains what information they handle and why.

1. Your study progress

You can use the app and the website without an account. Your study progress (answers, bookmarks, mock-test results, flash-card schedule, streaks, unlock timers and settings) is stored on your device: in the app’s storage on Android, and in your browser’s local storage on the website. Deleting the app, clearing the browser’s site data, or using “Reset progress” removes it.

2. Optional: sign in with Google to sync progress

If you choose “Sign in with Google” in the app or on the website, you sign in with your Google account through Google Firebase Authentication. We then receive your Google account’s name, email address and a Firebase user ID, and we store a copy of your study progress in Google Cloud Firestore so it can be kept in step between your devices. The synced copy contains: the questions you have answered correctly, your most recent answer to each question and when you gave it, the traffic signs you have marked as known, and your best mock-test score. It does not include your bookmarks, settings or purchases.

3. Feedback

If you send feedback from the app, we receive your message, an optional star rating, an optional email address (only if you type one), and technical details (app version, Android version, device model, language and whether “Remove ads” is active). It is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and used only to read and, if you left an email, reply to your feedback.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob and Google AdSense)

The free app shows ads served by Google AdMob, including rewarded video ads used to unlock chapters. The website may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google may collect and process your device’s advertising identifier or cookies, IP address, coarse location derived from it, and usage signals to serve and measure ads, as described in Google’s advertising policies and the Google Privacy Policy. On Android you can reset your advertising ID and opt out of personalised ads in Settings → Google → Ads; on the web you can manage this at Google Ad Settings. Purchasing “Remove ads” in the app stops all ad requests in the app.

5. Analytics and crash reporting (Firebase)

We use Google Firebase Analytics (app and website) and Firebase Crashlytics (app) to understand which features are used — for example how many practice questions or mock tests are completed — and to fix crashes. These services receive usage events, device model, OS or browser version, app version and, for crashes, a stack trace. See the Firebase privacy information.

6. In-app purchase (Google Play Billing)

The optional one-time “Remove ads” purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details; we only receive confirmation that the purchase was made so the app can hide ads.

7. Permissions

The app requests Internet and network-state access (for ads, analytics, purchases, feedback and sync) and, on Android 13 and later, permission to show notifications — used only for the optional daily study reminder, which you can turn off in the app’s menu. It does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage permissions.

8. Children

The app and website are intended for learner drivers and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Content source

Questions are derived from the Light Vehicle Handbook published by Emirates Driving Company. The app and website are not affiliated with Emirates Driving Company, the RTA or any government authority.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change accordingly. Questions or deletion requests: ahm.mhd78@gmail.com.
